Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship
Awarded to exceptional female candidates who demonstrate strong academic achievements, the Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship is open to eligible female applicants to finance and tech programmes at all our campuses.
The Women in Finance and Tech Scholarship is aimed to inspire talented female candidates to pursue graduate studies and a career in finance or technology.
BI 黑料专区 Business School is committed to the UN Sustainability Goals. In particular, BI aims to support efforts towards achieving gender equality. This scholarship is a means to attract and support outstanding female candidates to pursue careers in fields where there is a gender imbalance.
Scholarship Award:
The Women in Finance and Technology Master Scholarship will cover full tuition fees for up to two years if the student maintains the academic progression requirements for scholarship recipients.

- Female candidates with strong academic records
- Female candidates with 黑料专区 citizenship or international citizenship.
- Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of 4.0 on the ECTS scale to be considered. Applicants with international education will have their grades converted to the ECTS scale by BI 黑料专区 Business School.
- Female candidates who apply to and receive an offer of admission in one of the following programmes:
- Female applicants in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.
- Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.

- Applications for scholarship are not accepted by email, with the exception of 3rd year Sivøk applicants (see below).
- Always apply for a scholarship at the same time as you apply for admission on the online application portal.
- Upload your CV/resume and a scholarship application letter. The scholarship application letter should outline why you should be considered for this scholarship (maximum one-page). Combine the documents into one PDF file. NOTE: Scholarships are awarded based on excellent academic grades, not on financial need.
- Upload it to the section marked ‘Scholarship’ in your online application for admission.
- Include all the required documentation to be evaluated for admission to a Master of Science programme. The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete application for admission has been submitted and the offer of admission is accepted.
- BI students currently in their 3rd year of the Siviløkonom programme, can apply the spring of their 3rd year by sending their CV and a scholarship application letter to info@bi.no with the subject line: Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship Application
- Applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship and the MSc International Scholarship will also be considered for this scholarship. A separate scholarship application letter is not required.

International and domestic applicants: A complete application for admission, including your scholarship application, must be uploaded to the online application portal. Applications for scholarship are not accepted by email.
Siviløkonom 3rd year students: Scholarship application letters must be emailed to info@bi.no.
Late applications will not be considered.

BI has a generous scholarship programme for master’s studies. However, the competition for scholarships is great. Each year, the number of scholarship applications received from master’s applicants demonstrating academic excellence is far greater than the number of scholarships available. Note: Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, not on financial need.
- BI 黑料专区 Business School aims to build a diverse and international student body.
- Only applicants who have been admitted to a Master of Science programme and have applied as instructed will be considered.
- BI ensures distribution of scholarships across MSc programmes.
- BI reserves the right to award scholarships according to institutional priorities which many include prioritizing specific master’s programmes, diversity and gender distribution, or selected partner schools of BI.
- All candidates will be assessed according to the ECTS scale. Applicants with international bachelor's degrees will have their grades converted to the ECTS scale.
- Other factors that may influence awarding could be other academic achievements, GMAT/GRE/CAT scores, extracurricular achievements, and special personal achievements.

- Scholarship offers are not sent with offers of admission. You will receive the offer of admission first.
- Applicants must accept the offer of admission while awaiting scholarship decisions.
- Scholarship offers may be sent to selected candidates throughout the admission cycle.
- Scholarship offers must be accepted by the date indicated on the offer. Scholarships not accepted by the deadline will be withdrawn/cancelled and awarded to another candidate.
- All scholarships will be awarded by the end of April with the exception of the A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship and the BI-Luiss Joint Master in Marketing Scholarship which are awarded later in the spring.
- All scholarship applicants, including those not selected, will be informed of the scholarship application decision by the end of April.
Scholarship decisions cannot be appealed.

All candidates must meet academic progression requirements to maintain their scholarship. Detailed requirements are included in the Scholarship Agreement.
- Full study progression (30 ECTS) in each semester.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of a "B" on the BI ECTS scale after completion of each academic semester.
- Candidates who are awarded the Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship must be prepared to be "BI Ambassadors", acting as spokespeople, assisting in recruitment efforts, and promoting a good study environment. Scholarship recipients will be informed about responsibilities during the academic year.
Please note:
- You may apply for more than one scholarship; however, BI 黑料专区 Business School will award only one scholarship per applicant.
- Awarded scholarships are tied to a specific academic programme at a designated campus and cannot be transferred.
- International candidates who are eligible for tuition fee reduction and/or a student loan in Norway from Lånekassen (eg. 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree from a 黑料专区 educational institution) are considered as domestic applicants for scholarship purposes.
- Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.
Only candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme commencing Autumn 2025 will be considered for this scholarship.
