Campus Bergen is known for its vibrant and thriving student community of 3000 individuals, making it the largest campus outside of Oslo. At the master level the number of total students is around 70, with 14% being international students.

Cultural life

Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and is often referred to as "the gateaway to the fjords". Despite being a small city, Bergen is a vibrant city with a dynamic student community and is filled with personality and charm!

  • The Seven Mountains

    If you enjoy hiking, there are plenty of hiking opportunities surrounding the city of Bergen. Bergen is known as the city between seven mountains. The seven official mountains of Bergen are Ulriken, Fløyfjellet, Rundemanen, Sandviksfjellet, Damsgårdfjellet, Lyderhorn and Løvstakken.

  • Bergen is packed with exciting festivals. Festivals such as Bergenfest (large music festival), Bergen Matfestival (food festival), Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF) and Hallaien (one-day semester kick-off student festival) is to find in Bergen. Whether you are interested in music, film, theatre or food, the city has something for every taste. 

  • One of the largest fjords in the world is only an hour away from Bergen. Hardangerfjord is the second-longest fjord in Norway - and third in the world - stretching 179 km (111 mi) inland from the Atlantic to the town of Odda. Explore Hardangerfjorden and its stunning waterfalls and exciting hikes. 

  • Take the train to Voss and Geilo

    Voss and Geilo are two great places to visit during summer, autumn and winter season. Throughout the year, Voss and Geilo offers a range of activities such as skydiving, rafting, biking, hikes and skiing.
